MY WQMY 53 added!

DirecTv added the MY Network to the lineup on Wednesday. Channel 53 is WQMY and it's in HD.

WQMY doesn't have an HD feed. DirecTV just doesn't have anymore room on 119 where the rest of our SD locals are, so they have it uplinked with the MPEG4 HD locals.

I have WQMY on my R22-100 and it looks like its in a picture frame. Anybody else with same problem.

Spoke w/ a manager ay WQMY about HD. As stated already in this thread, they are not currently broadcasting in HD. It was considered for this year, but did not make into the budget. He was hopeful, (but no promises) that it would make it next year.

He was confident, but not postive, that when/if this occurs, Directv will automatically pick up the HD transmission.

Even if they go HD, it might not be possible to do the games from WWOR in HD. Many of the Yankees over the air affiliates don't carry the games in HD. HD programming will probably be limited to just the MyNetworkTV shows, like SmackDown.

Just spoke with them again. They stated they are trying to have this channel in high def in time for baseball season. I will believe it when I see it.

OTA in not in HD yet, can't see that anyone will see it in HD before HD feed happens.
